Travelling is much more than packing your bags and discovering new places. Travelling is a feeling – it is one of the most enriching experiences we can have.
On this World Tourism Day, we want to reflect on a way of travelling that we believe is both the future and the present: tourism that is more human, more local, and more conscious.
Human Tourism
At the heart of every trip are people: what we take away from each trip are not only images and memories, but the people we meet along the way. The smile that welcomes us, an unexpected conversation, the sharing of a story. This is hospitality: each visitor is welcomed not only as a customer, but as a guest.
Local Tourism
Destinations come to life through their traditions, flavors, and stories. Supporting local businesses and producers is a great way to experience the destination authentically, creating lasting memories and contributing to the community.
📍local tip: Visit the Bolhão Market and the Portuguese shops on Rua das Flores in Porto.
Conscious Tourism
Travelling also means taking responsibility: caring for nature, respecting cultures, and adopting sustainable practices that ensure future generations can discover the same places. Being conscious means being aware of the impact we leave behind, so that tourism is always a positive force.
More than just travelling, we believe that tourism is an act of belonging. Belonging to the place we visit, to the people we meet, and to the memories we take with us.
