The United Nations officially established the 8th of March as International Women's Day in 1975.
Over the course of 50 years, in a democratic Portugal, women have won new rights, significantly changing their status in family life, professional life, healthcare, education and society.
To all the women who have broken new ground, whether publicly or privately, to ensure that the future of our girls is bright, free and with the certainty that all that has been achieved is solid, our deepest gratitude.
A lot has changed, that's for sure, but still so much will have to change...
Women's struggle is not about gender, which is the strongest and most capable, but about people fighting injustice, inequality, insecurity and discrimination in a united front. Don't let your guard down, the fight is daily, continuous and vigilant, we can't take for granted what has been accomplished or stop fighting for what remains to be achieved. Women's rights have no borders and are not confined to our continent, country or home, but must be realised on a global scale.
The rights conquered have allowed Boavista Guest House to be a team of women and to prove the feminine as a Value. We believe in and promote feminine values: resilience, delicacy, care, detail, sorority and team spirit.
At Boavista Guest House we are proud to be women and we know the privilege of being so.
Together we are stronger and we embrace all feminine values with joy.
To all the women in our lives, we extend our gratitude and appreciation!
